I've reformatted the photos so they're bigger (as big as Chaos allows) and more detailed than the ones on my facebook album.

Sunday was a freakin' fantastic day for a ride!
Saturday was very rainy and wet, and overnight it gradually cooled off until it turned to freezing rain and then snow. Fortunately, it ended up as a whole bunch of rain and only about two or three inches of snow. Later in the season when it gets colder, storms like this end up as a foot of snow, which is far more than I can bike in! The weather Sunday was cool, but not too cold - between about 30 and 35 degrees, so the snow started to melt in some places as the day went on.
Every December, the New England Mountain Bike Association holds a toy drive and bike ride in the Blue Hills Reservation, just a few miles from my house.
This is the first time I've done this ride in snow... It was a blast!
However, it was only my second off-road ride of the year, and my technical skills are pretty rusty - not so good at keeping traction on icy, leaf-covered granite... and my pedals kept filling with snow and ice.
But the views were beautiful, the weather was chilly but not too cold, and it made for a great ride. Afterward, I wandered around taking more photos. I wish I had the video camera mount to take on this ride. Oh, well! Maybe next time.
The pix are mostly from flat, open spaces. When I was on singletrack or slippery rocky sections I packed away the camera to protect it - and because I was too busy trying to keep moving...
