Ooh! A Shaving Party! Wish I had some fun emoticons for this one...

Since I swung the door open, I'll go first.

* If it's your first shave in a while, knock down the bulk of the hair with clippers first.
* Shave in the shower or tub, so you can have a warm and wet leg to begin with. (If you get "goosebumps" while you're shaving, you'll risk razor burn at worse, or have stubble when your done at best.)
* Don't skimp on razors. Disposables are cheap, but you get what you pay for.
* Don't dry shave! Use shaving cream, or shampoo/conditioner, or a good body wash with a moisturizer.
* Shave against the grain (from the ankle toward the knee) - longer strokes are better.
* To get around knee, do what it takes to make flat surfaces of tight skin. Bend the knee for the front and sides, straight leg with a slight bend for the back.
* Use a lotion of some kind when you're done. If you put it on when your legs are still damp, it will lock in the moisture better.

My thoughts. What say you, Ladies? Did I miss anything?

Mrs Timo
I think you covered all the important points
especially
* Don't skimp on razors. Disposables are cheap, but you get what you pay for.
* Don't dry shave! Use shaving cream, or shampoo/conditioner, or a good body wash with a moisturizer.

and last but not least, longer strokes are better

Without sounding conceited, I have a hard time mid season not spring. I find after I get my legs back that I can't get them "unbumpy" because of my muscles, they tend not to move. It's a total pain then. Spring isn't a big deal.

He's a wooosie, can shave a face with more curves and turns (neck, chin) but not a leg? Something is wrong here

Maybe it's the combination of steam from the shower and looking down... makes him light headed! (Can't have him passing out, ya' know!) Might be time to bite the bullet and bring one of those "old people" stools into the shower.

You guys are a riot
I didn't mean it to sound like it did but yeah in mid season my legs are kind of 'ripped' for lack of a better term. I find the back of them a pain and I get a split I guess you could call it in the top of my thighs which is also no fun.

You could always wax, or use a chemical depilatory agent like Nair. I mean, really, how bad does the process bug you? There are other ways...

Maybe another 2 weeks for me and I take the plunge for the first time. I think I'll be a bathtub guy.
